This electric scooter throttle has four wires, check below for functionality of each wire.

This hand throttle can also be used as a replacement for 3 wire throttles. In a three wire application the yellow wire (battery level indicator) will not be used.

Prior to ordering measure your controller’s four wire throttle connector and verify you have 4.5 – 6.0 volts between the red and black wire. If you do not read this level of voltage this throttle is not compatible OR your controller needs to be replaced.

Throttle Wire Color to Controller Wire Color (Description)
Red to Red (4.5 – 6.0 Volts Power)
Black to Black (Ground)

Green to Green or Blue (Speed Signal)

Yellow to Yellow (Optional Battery Level Indicator)

Not compatible with 36 volt or 48 volt products. (The battery charge indicator would not be accurate.) Wire Length: 50″
