This lever extension bracket will aid in the shifting of the 4×2 utility vehicles (Scout, Rover, or Mossy Oak).
A quick fix for shifting problems for the Compact Utility Vehicles!
Installation Instructions:
Place shifter in neutral
In front of the vehicle, underneath the dash, remove the nut that attaches the shift lever to the shifter cable
In the rear of the vehicle, on the drivetrain, remove the nut that attaches the shifter cable to the shifter mount bracket
Using a 1/4″x 3/4″ bolt and 1/4″ nylock nut attach the lever extension bracket to the shift lever arm (front of the vehicle)
Install the shifter cable into the shift lever extension bracket as shown and reattach nut.
Loosen nuts on both sides of turnbuckle and adjust turnbuckle until it is parallel to the shift lever arm (rear of unit).
Note: If the shift lever arm is not parallel with the turnbuckle your unit will not shift properly.
Loosen jam nuts enough to line end of shifter cable back up with shift lever arm then replace nuts that secure the shifter cable to shifter mount bracket.
Adjust jam nuts as needed.
