This is an asymmetric torque converter. It is a replica of a TAV2. This item will fit a 3/4″ shaft engine and has both sprockets for both #35 and #40/420 chain. Comes with METRIC hardware ONLY. For most domestic engines and the newer Predator engines, SAE hardware will be required. Use kit K_OMBTAVUSABOLTS Please verify the correct hardware for your engine.
This torque converter is an asymmetrical inline small engine clutch that will help you get more power out of your small engine by reducing engine load. A torque converter acts similar to a transmission, allows higher speeds out of your small engine, and smoother acceleration. Engagement range is approximately 2350 RPM. Our torque converter fits a 3/4″ shaft and comes with a 12 tooth sprocket for a #35 chain and a 10 tooth sprocket for #41 chain. It will work with small engines producing 5.5 HP – 9 HP. It is compatible on most small engines with horizontal shaft. Briggs/Robin/Tecumseh/Honda (and clones)… Kit may need to be altered to work with some 9HP & GX270 engines, Kohler/Clinton/Lifan. This unit replaces: 218352A and 218353A Torq-A-Verter
