This is the Comet TAV2 Series 30 style kit with a 40/41/420 chain sprocket available with either a 3/4″ or 1″ bore drive clutch Here is a fine torque converter kit for go-karts and dune buggies. This is the Comet TAV2 Series 30 style kit with a 40/41/420 chain sprocket available with either a 3/4″ or 1″ bore drive clutch. This bore size will match the size of your horizontal engine drive shaft.Both versions of this go-kart torque converter come with a driven pulley with a 5/8″ diameter shaft and 10 tooth sprocket. The kit includes a black plastic cover and a 203589, 203589A, 5959, or equivalent) asymmetric go-kart drive belt.
Replaces Comet 218355A Torq-A-Verter.
These kits are commonly used on go-karts equipped with 6.5 Hp 196cc to 212cc GX200 style Honda Clone engines, including models from Baja Motorsports, Hammerhead, Manco (Dingo), Murray, and Yerf-Dog.
Note: The 3/4″ bore kit includes a small bronze bushing or sleeve on the pully plate that is not included with the 1″ bore kit as it is superfluous for that size. See photo #3 (above). Drive Clutch Bore: 3/4″ or 1″
Driven Pulley Diameter: 157 mm (6.1″)
Belt: Asymmetrical 203589, 203589A, 5959, (or equivalent)
Sprocket: 10 tooth 40/41/420 chain
Recommended Engine Sizes: 5.0 hp, 6.5 hp, 8.0 hp, up 9 hp engines with a 3/4″ or 1″ horizontal drive shaft
