This is the canister / cylinder style air filter element for 150cc GY6 go-karts and scooters, and is an often overlooked component of your engine. An air filter prevents dust from being sucked into the carb, and that results in better operation and easier start-ups. This air filter element is perhaps the easiest of all engine parts to replace. In addition, our economical price means that you may as well keep one as a spare. You have to think of your air filter as cheap insurance for the health of your engine.
The ubiquitous 150cc GY6 engine is the industrial standard that is found on tens of thousands, if not millions, of gas-powered motorsports vehicles and street-legal motor scooters. This canister air filter is used as the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) by a number of current go-kart and scooter brands. Among the models are several Hammerhead ‘karts such as the 150SS, 150GT, and GTS150 that use the 6.000.151 filter.
